Description
Step into a world of surreal botany with “Pen Floral,” a captivating 8 x 10 inch pen and ink drawing. This intense, abstract composition features a fantastical, organic form that resembles a hybrid between a blooming flower and a mythical creature, evoking a powerful sense of wild growth or otherworldly nature. The artist utilizes rapid, energetic hatching and cross-hatching to create a highly textured, vibrating effect, with stark contrasts of deep black ink against the warm cream of the paper. The central figure, with its bulbous body and radiating, horn-like appendages, stands on a small pedestal against a background of diagonal slashes, all enclosed within a heavy, cross-hatched border. Despite its intimate size, the bold, monochromatic palette and intricate, scratchy lines make this piece a powerful, thought-provoking addition to a desk, bookshelf, or eclectic gallery wall.
